I love Lawrence, KS too. What a nice town! There is the neatest B & B there that is really close to the college. (my 2nd oldest son goes to KU and lives in a Schol Hall) http://www.thehalcyonhouse.com/bedrooms.html
My sis and i shared the Butterfly room. It is adorable with cherry sheets and twin beds in an attic. We laughed and talked for hours like little girls. Also, a great yarn shop, Yarn Barn on Mass. Ave.

Beware, today Lawrence saw a high of 18 degrees! But the bluebirds, cardinals, and woodpeckers were going crazy on my porch feeders, so we made soup and were happy.
I like visiting my parents in Lawrence a lot more now that I am a knitter. I have to sneak out for a few hours a day when the urge to commit patricide strikes. Now I have a destination - Yarn Barn! Tracy Bu(o)nkers said I could come visit next time I am there too - wanna come?
