Yarn & more yarn

Handspun yarn:

A Color Me roving - 100% wool top, color 'sizzling' (bought at Threadbear - fiber holyland) plied randomly.

SW Merino a gift from supergrrl Shannon. Hand dyed in her dishwasher. Curious about dishwasher dying? Check out the next issue of Knittyspin. Subtle, effing, subtle.

The 100 th day of school is coming up in these parts. Isobel wanted to bring 100 balls of yarn, she settled for 100 snips of yarn. We got out 100 balls & snipped and snapped away:

Wow, wallowing in yarn already at what, age 6? The poor child doen't even have a chance.

Brian's 100 days thingy is 100 coins from different countries sandwiched between black posterboard and that clear sticky paper stuff. I think I like 100 balls of yarn better!

I might have to steal that 100 snips of yarn idea (much better than black-eyed peas).

Love those photos.

I used to teach Kindergarten so I understand the importance of 100 Day. How fun it will be for her to share her 100 Snips of Yarn!

Diswasher dyeing? I can't wait to try that one!

BTW - I LOVE my signed copy of Big Girl Knits, but am anxious for my color copy to come in. As I choose projects to make for the store, one of the first is coming from this book!

My daughter just had her 100th day also! She took 100 cookie cutters! We made an abacus out of them. She was thrilled! I have a huge stash of cutters, another hobby for me. I love cut out sugar cookies! YUM!
Anyway, your Folly sweater rocks!!! Glad i found your blog to tell you so! I want to knit one and so does my sis. I would like to make a small one for a mother/daughter matching thing, Any suggestions for a pattern for a 6 year old that i could add the flowers to? I have been looking for a nice big-collared pattern but haven't found one yet. I must admit i am rather occupied by a 10 week old son now too! Plus 4 older boys too!
